The purpose of the National Honor Society is to create an enthusiasm
for scholarship, to stimulate
a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to
encourage the development of
character in students of
Membership is open to members of the sophomore, junior and senior class. To qualify, students
must demonstrate academic
achievement, leadership, character and a commitment to community
service. Specifically,
students must earn a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average,
contribute at least 20 hours
of community service in the prior year and demonstrate leadership
and involvement in the life of the school.

Meetings are held on the
first Tuesday of every month during lunch. Meetings are conducted by the
Chapter President
with the assistance of the Faculty Adviser.
NJHS meets during first lunch and NHS meets during second lunch.
All meetings are held in room
102 unless specified in a different location
There will be a NHS/NJHS meeting during lunch on Tuesday,
January 15, 2008. Topics to be discussed will include the following:

Faculty Council and the Faculty Adviser are pleased to inform you that the
selection process for the Honor Society and Junior Honor Society has ended.
We will be celebrating our new members and saying good bye to others by
hosting an induction ceremony. |
